The publication of the 1939 Register promises to be the most important event in British Family History since the 1911 Census and Mr Myko Clelland of ‘Find My Past’ gave us a thorough overview of what it offers- which is much more than we originally expected. Certainly he whetted our appetites for further investigations.
Unfortunately, after paying for and viewing my first five records, I have found the standard of transcriptions most disappointing. Each of my five records contains quite serious transcription errors. Maybe I have been unlucky but it will be quite a while before I can justify the expense of more records for the foreseeable future to check on this.
