Well, the New Year started off with a well-attended gathering. 24 hardy souls braved the weather to hear a talk by Wendy Davies. In it she described the colourful life of her father, who graduated from miner to respected dance band leader & musician.

The evening concluded with the usual delve into family records by some of our members, while the rest enjoyed exchanging general gossip, much of it devoted to sharing memories of people & places from the area.
