Unlock the Mysteries in Your DNA: A Beginner’s Workshop
Are you curious about how DNA testing can reveal your family story? Whether you’ve already taken a DNA test and feel unsure about interpreting the results, or you’re just considering taking that first step – we’re here to help!
Join us this May as the Chepstow & Wye Valley Branch presents a hands-on DNA workshop designed specifically for beginners. As the first in our exciting new series, this workshop will give you the confidence to use DNA testing in your family history research.
What you’ll learn:
You’ll benefit from personalized guidance during our one-to-one session, with expert support from our experienced team, including a professional genealogist.
Haven’t taken a DNA test yet? No problem! If you’re planning to take one, we recommend the Ancestry DNA test to get the most from this workshop.
Important Note: DNA testing can sometimes reveal unexpected family connections. We encourage you to discuss testing with your close family members before proceeding, as results can occasionally bring surprising discoveries that may affect multiple family members.
This workshop will be held at 7.30pm on 8th May 2025 at the St Arvan’s Meeting Rooms. It is open to both members and non-members of Gwent FHS, ensuring everyone can benefit from this valuable learning opportunity. So feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested.
