Angus McBean by Will Cross.

This month we welcomed the return of a regular speaker in Will Cross. His subject was Angus McBean, an extremely talented photographer who was born in Newbridge and an old boy of Monmouth School and the old Newport Tech.

His career was varied and most successful with work for the Stratford Shakespeare Company and, after an introduction by Ivan Novello, photography of film stars such as Vivian Leigh and Audrey Hepburn.

Will’s talk was illustrated with many of McBean’s photographs and they will soon be visible in the Members’ Section of this web site thanks to the Zoom presentation made on the evening.
