Blackwood – Research Evening

This month’s meeting rates among the most enjoyable in recent times. Altogether, with an attendance of 25 members,  guests and visitors, the room was really buzzing. We were pleased to welcome Ivor and Pauline Leigh, who are members of  Leicestershire and Rutland Family History Society, were in the area doing some research into Pauline’s family.

The computers were almost bursting into flames with searches. Some of our more experienced members were kept busy helping and offering advice.

There was much activity around the records collection and I believe some CDs were purchased. There was also considerable activity around the refreshment area, probably due to the presence of a selection of chocolate biscuits. Things were still buzzing, when I had to leave at 8.00 pm.
