Our proposed guest speaker for the evening Alan Smith was unavailable due to family problems. Malcolm Otton stepped in and gave us an excellent talk on the 1939 Register. He took the previous talk on the same subject given by Myko Clelland from ‘Find My Past’ as his basis and expanded and modified it with a great deal more local data. By the time this second talk was over we were anticipating with great pleasure when the 1939 Register will become available to standard ‘Find My Past’ subscribers
